1. Thomas Kendrick Hall - Death of

Thomas Kendrick Hall was returning with his two nieces, Emily 'Bunny' Lacy, 16, and her sister May,13, from Brisbane, Australia on the (British Indian Steamship Company's) Royal Mail Ship Quetta. The girls were on their way from Mt Spencer, the cattle station their father managed, to a finishing school in London. The ship struck an unchartered rock on 28 February 1890 in the Adolphus Channel near Cape Year (Thursday Ireland) and sank with the loss of 133 lives, including T K Hall. His mother, Sophia (widow of T D Hall), built the church of St. Thomas, in Aslockton in memory of her son.
